Pangea [pân-jé’a]: A large continental landmass that existed from about 300 million years ago through about 200 million years ago. It included most of the continental lithosphere present at that time. It has since broken up and the fragments have drifted to become the configuration of Earth's present day continents. | |||||||||||
| Similar to the continental drift, the life chances of peoples around the world are also on diverging paths. Through tourism the drifting continents are rejoined and tourism consequently has become an important source of income for many developing regions. At THE PANGEA PROJECT we have made our name our programme: to harness opportunities of international tourism to become a driver for development. | ||||||||||||
